This website provides an introduction to the work and career of calligrapher Ann Hechle. It is based on the collections held at the Crafts Study Centre, University of the Creative Arts at Farnham, and has been digitised by the Visual Arts Data Service (VADS). Using her notes and drawings, together with examples of commissions, this illustrated learning module takes the reader through her background, influences and key works, and offers an insight into the context and possibilities of contemporary calligraphy.
